Kapolei Golf Club strives to provide exceptional golf and dining experience to guests across the world. We are currently looking for a full-time and/or part-time Outside Guest Service Attendant who will be responsible for providing customer service to all guests under the direction of the Head Golf Professional. The Outside Guest Services Attendant greets and welcomes all arriving guests and provides any and all assistance needed throughout the day while maintaining the cleanliness of the driving range facility, golf carts, parking lot, and the area around the clubhouse.
Job Responsibilities:
Outside Guest Services
Greet guests upon arrival and assist with loading carts with golf bags and other necessary items.
Shuttle carts from cart barn to staging area. Ensure that carts are clean and supplied with scorecards, pencils, sand, and towels
Cleans out golf carts of rubbish, used scorecards, dulled pencils, and replenishes supplies.
Inspects and reports any damage found on carts.
Checks off rental clubs and shoes. Cleans and returns rental clubs and shoes to the bag room to their proper storage location.
Wash and folds towels for next day’s usage.
Sets up, refills and brings in 5-gallon water coolers out on the golf course using a utility cart.
Driving Range Attendant
Assists golfers with range balls, food and beverages.
Enforces the rules and guidelines for the use of the range regarding outside food and beverage and dress code by guests while using the facility.
Uses range picker to sweep driving range field of golf balls
Maintains the cleanliness of the driving range and snack shop area
Secondary Functions:
Cross train in other areas of the Golf Department
As directed by the Head Golf Professional / Golf Shop Manager work together as a team to ensure the success of the Golf Operations Department.
Basic Qualification:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Customer service and/or golf background is preferred.
Ability to operate a golf cart
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
Must be able to respond to customer requests knowledgeably and with courtesy.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English
Second language proficiency in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese a plus, but not necessary
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including morning, day, evening, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The hours of operation are from 5:00am to 10:00pm, Monday to Sunday
Must be able to stand working outdoors and in all types of weather conditions. He/she may be exposed to rain, wind, and hot/cold weather.
Daily lifting and/or moving of 50 pounds
Ability to stand for an entire 8-10 hour shift.
Must be able to use Driving range picker, Golf Cart & Utility Cart, Walkie-talkie radio, Cashier comfortably
