Koha Foods is one of Hawaii's largest Asian food distributors supplying local vendors, restaurants, supermarkets, and retail stores with a wide array of food items and products. We also locally produce our own high-quality, gourmet Korean food items that are provided to restaurants and supermarkets throughout the state.
The Account Executive - Asian Sales Team position is responsible for maintaining and growing the company’s sales and market share by delivering sales presentations that help our customers effectively run their business, serve their guests, and achieve their goals. This position is responsible for selling food products, meats, seafood, grocery and assorted paper and plastic container products to restaurants and retail stores in an assigned territory. A successful candidate will develop solid business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels of each target account.
Additional responsibilities for this outside sales role include, but are not limited to:
· Providing overall account management to existing customers within a defined market
· Identifying customer needs and opportunities for additional product sales
· Prospecting new customers
· Utilizing analytical research tools and sales training resources to effectively target prospects
· Coordinating with Customer Service to investigate and resolve customer issues
· Educating customers on product specifications and application.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and active-listening skills
Specific qualifications for this role include:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
· Korean speaking (preferred)
· 2+ years of sales experience, or, an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
· Valid driver license with a clean driving abstract (required).
· Must have and maintain automobile insurance (required).
· Computer literacy that includes the proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), maintaining a customer database, and capability and willingness to become proficient.
