Koha Foods is one of Hawaii's largest Asian food distributors supplying local vendors, restaurants, supermarkets and stores with a wide array of food items and products. We also locally produce our own high-quality, gourmet Korean food items that are provided to restaurants and supermarkets throughout the state.
This position serves our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse and properly delivering and unlading product according to customer invoice and company standards.
Essential Functions
Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer location and ensures product is delivered on a timely basis, according to assigned route.
Unloads product from truck by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company (e.g. invoices are accurate and signed; prepares credit memo form; collects payment from COD customers) and governmental guidelines (e.g. DOT logs, inspections, company vehicle maintenance reports, pre- and post-trip reports)
Picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns, and transports products back to warehouse.
Follows preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advises management team of any unsafe conditions.
Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including, but not limited to hand cart, pallets, and personal protective equipment.
Develops and establishes good relationship with customers by providing excellent and courteous service
Communicates with management team regarding any deviations to route, loading issues and/or customer or product issues.
Works assigned schedule and works outside usual schedule as needed to meet customer needs; exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
Rotates and restocks products delivered to retail stores that day ensuring that earliest expiration date items are in the front and products are properly facing.
Rotates and restocks tofu products from back stock.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
Driver’s license
